Peter Quillin, thats all there is to that On the real, I'm gonna go on record to say that this guy is gonna be the man.
Vanes' last perforance wasn't as good as I've seen him before. He didn't jab at all, just came in winging power shots. He went six rounds with a guy who shouldn't have made it past 2. He needs to settle down and work behind the jab, but still maintain his aggression. If he can set his offense up better, he'll be a monster.
everyone was saying CODRINGTON was a complete fighter... before the green fight
i think ur over-ratin quillin, but i could be wrong
1. Andre Berto
2. Abner Mares
3. Chad Dawson
4. Vanes Martirosyan
5. Amir Khan
6. Andre Dirrell
7. Raul Martinez
8. Andre Ward
9. Peter Quillin
10. Curtis Stevens
Berto is IMO the best prospect out there right now. He fights like a young Shane Mosley. Dawson is a tall rangy guy with pop, not to mention a southpaw. Vanes reminds me of Kostya Tszyu, but he needs to settle down a bit and set up the right hand better. If he better develops his left, he'll go a long way. All of my questions of Amir Khan should be answered when he steps up in class. Dirrell is solid, I believe Andre is the younger one. The younger one is the one with the upside.
Martinez is well schooled, he should be stepping up soon. Andre Ward has yet to prove to me that he can survive on his skills, but hes got alot of speed. I don't think opponents are gonna fear him like they did Jones. Quillin is a tall, rangy middleweight who doesn't take long to figure out opponents. He makes you miss, then he makes you pay. If he had 10 fights, he'd be at the top of my list. Stevens got stopped prematurely in his last fight, but make no mistake that homeboy is solid. He throws combos like Tyson.
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is still too predictable at this stage. He does one thing from one stance. Hes not a big puncher and isn't the hardest to hit, but his body work is reminiscent of his Dad.
Andre is the older Dirrell. He won the Bronze medal at the Olympics. Anthony is the younger of the two. Both are excellent fighters.

I still think Codrington is an excellent fighter, he has all the skills and power to be something. The only question is of course, the chin. He will have to prove to me that his chin is good enough to move to the next level, and that could happen. Now if Jaidon is telling me the truth, Allan Green doesn't want it with him or Curtis Stevens. Time will tell, he's still young and still has exceptional talent.
Mark my words, Quillin will be one of the top guys in the sport in the next couple years. Its not often I see a fighter for the first time and I'm drawn to his ability. Quillin did that for me. His trainer was kind enough to show me a DVD of all of his fights, and each one showed him taking 1 min to figure his man out and then exploiting every weakness they had, finishing them with crazy combinations. He's reminds me of Hopkins because hes a long guy who can fight both inside and out. He's gonna do something big.

Well then I switch it up and go with Anthony. Andre Dirrell does not fight like a pro fighter, very similar to Andre Ward. Unfortunately, Andre Dirrell doesn't have a gold medal so they aren't gonna powder his ass the same way. He needs to figure out if he wants to be a boxer and jab, or punch and come forward. He seems very confused about what he wants to do, and while hes figuring himself out, his opponents are allowed opportunity to punch at him. He lets his man take over too often and when you play the numbers game, one of them shots are gonna catch you. Anthony is the more confident, sharper fighter. Watch out for him.
Say what you want...but you cant have a realistic list like this and not have Jason Litzau on there.
Litzau is tough and entertaining, but he needs to get his stuff together. He's like Diego Corrales in that he's tall and rangy, but prefers to fight on the inside abit too much. He would be better served to step back and jab his man, and then throw three or four shots. He squares up and gets hit flush when he rushes in without a jab. He has alot to learn, but hes very exciting.
Now if Jaidon is telling me the truth, Allan Green doesn't want it with him or Curtis Stevens. Time will tell, he's still young and still has exceptional talent.
Yeah, Allan probably doesn't want it with Jaidon or Curtis.
Allan's going to be fighting for a title soon and the Chin Checkers are still undercard fighters in the Broadway Boxing series. Why should he WANT IT with the chin-checkers?
They've both been knocked out and it will only be a matter of time (short matter of time) before both will again. I'm not hating on either fighter they are decent prospects but I don't see either EVER being in the position that Allan Green is in right now.
