How will Arturo Gatti be remembered?

To be honest, I was never a Gatti fan. I always rooted for Micky Ward. I wanted PBF to expose him. I loved seeing Baldomir silence the fans in Atlantic City. But his destruction was always beautiful. A fighter like Gatti made you watch and if you didn't, you were surely missing a classic.

I view him as an average fighter who was well protected in his backyard to serve as a franchise for New Jersey. Assuming he is done as a contender, how will you remember "Thunder"?

He will be remembered sort of like Holyfield. They are both Warriors and bring their all to the ring. Gatti will be remembered as one of the most exciting boxers.

How am I an *******? Just cause Gatti wasn't a top notch fighter and people from that area like u can't admit it. I agree that Gatti was just about the most entertaining fighter around, and his heart was second to none, but lets be realistic. The best fighter he beat was Jesse James Leija.

if boxing had more guys like arturo gatti, it would be mentioned in the same sentence as the words "baseball," "basketball," and "football." its as simple as that.

Not only was Arturo Gatti one of the most exciting fighters in the sport, he was also one of the classiest

as the "human highlight", the guy that put on some great blood and guts performances and had a huge heart and a good.

iron mike tyson is right. He fought threw pain and injuries. He put everything on the line in the ring. One of the most exciting fighters ever IMO. Although it sounds like he wants to fight again.

to add to wat i said
he wont get remembered as a bum nor will he be remembered as a modern great but he won 2 world titles at 2 dif wieghts and was involved in sum of the best fights for a decade and i dnt see out eclipsing the gatti-ward trilogy in this decade so he cud span as the greatest fights of 2 decades
