First Half of 2007 Could Bring Megafights

Realistic, potential (and openly discussed or negotiated) match-ups to happen within the next 11 months or so...

    Mayweather/Mosley and/or De La Hoya/Mayweather
    Taylor/Wright II
    Hatton/Castillo
    Pacquaio/Barrera II (however, I think Juarez--not Morales--might derail this)
    Calzaghe/Kessler-Beyer winner
    G.Johnson-Woods winner/Roy Jones II (snicker)
    Heavyweight Unification: Klitschko/Maskaev
    Toney/Peter winner vs. Klitschko/Maskaev winner
    Corrales/Juan Diaz
Arce/M.Castillo or Arce/Darchinyan (come on Arce, make a big fight!!)
JMM/Scott Harrison (may happen Nov.4 if we're lucky)
    J.Gonzalez-Vazquez winner/R.Marquez or De Leon/R.Marquez
Lacy/Green (not exactly a megafight, but a big one)

What other very realistic ones am I missing? No where to find on this list are Margarito and Cotto, but both of them have potential huge fights that are tied up on this list--Mayweather, Hatton, Mosley, Castillo, and Arum would never put them in vs. each other. I guess Margarito-P.Williams could be on here, since it probably won't happen Dec.2...

I'd like to see these fights, Margarito vs. Paul Williams would be good as well.

Mayweather versus any top elite WW would be good Mosley or DLH would be good too.

Hatton - Castillo would be a definite great fight and I think very probable if Hatton goes back down to jrWW.

Pac - Barrera wont be derailed by either of them losing. Fact is both times Pac fought Morales, Morales was coming off of losses. Fight 1 Morales was coming off a loss to Barrera Fight 2 Morales was coming off a loss to Raheem. Barrera losing doesn't take away from the probabilty of them fighting.

One good fight I would love to see would be P. Williams vs Margarito or Cotto. I think there is a good chance he will fight 1 of them in early 07 (most likely Margarito)

2006 was supposed to be a huge year.

All the Hatton/Mayweather talk, it's been big, but I think 2007 will be even bigger.

2006 should have been the year. The first half of it was dope, but mayweather/de la/castillo/corrales/and hatton messed that up.

The fight I most want to see is Hatton-Castillo, that would be fight of the year almost guarenteed. I really have no interest in the heavyweight division outside of Sam Peter. One scenario that I would love to see play out is Barrera-Morales 4. I know it sounds rediculous but say they both lose this fall, where else is there to go? I don't think anyone would oppose of them fighting a fourth time including them, considering it'd be their last big payday. On a humorous note, I'd like to see Bowe-Holyfield 4 as well. That has to be on pay-per-view.
