yeah, except for about a minute of one of the rounds, he wasn't hitting with any power at all. I don't think someone like Peter can really do handpads at full power because it would be too damaging to the holder's wrists. Peter looks sooo strong though. He looks like 250 lbs of solid muscle. I just go back and forth as to who I think is going to win this fight. The funny thing is that I can really see both extremes happening. I could picture Toney humiliating Peter for a lopsided UD victory, I can also picture Peter just completely rolling over Toney with an early round knockout.Comment

did anyone catch the part where the guy holding the mitts for Peter was imitating James Toney's style? I think they've prepared Peter well for this fight. I think if Peter manages to avoid Toney's right hands (highly unlikely), he can easily win this fight. That or when Peter feels that Toney's best shots feel like jabs to him and just goes all out and not care about getting hit.Comment

That was a ridiculous workout. Aside from all of the clowning they were doing, the trainer was dropping the pads on Peter's gloves. Some of the straight shots had some pop but the hooks and uppercuts had nothing in them. When Peter fights, he swings wildly; this does not look like good preparation for Toney. They think he's just going to be able to hit Toney with some wild ****? They ran out of ideas with Klitschko, and now they have Peter around 260-pounds looking like he's just going to throw all of it on Toney and see what happens.Comment

Damn. Obviously most to all of you don't and aren't boxers. Your not supposed to hit the pads as hard as you can. It's just working on your technique. You work on your accuracy and sharpness. Not how fast or hard you hit. If he wouldv'e hit the pads with his power he would've last a minute or a minute and a half at the most, stamina wise. You just work on accuracy, not power. Plus you need stamina so your not supposed to hit the pads hard.Comment
