What are his chances? I just saw the replay of Ouma's fight w/ Powell and he has impressed me w/ his style, his inside game & relentless attacks on powell was pretty impressive. And w/ this in mind, I honestly think he's got a chance against winky, what do you think?
Is it possible at this point that Ouma could fight Winky Wright?

I find it odd how Wright said he wouldn't fight Ouma in 2004 because he only wanted big fights from that point on, yet he goes and fights Soliman a year later.Comment

When HBO scheduled Winky Wright and Jermain Taylor to appear on consecutive Saturday's in December, one has to imagine that the network has an eye towards making a Jermain Taylor-Winky Wright rematch in early 2007. Wright is currently scheduled to headline HBO PPV on December 2, and Taylor will fight in Little Rock, Arkansas on December 9 with the Wright replay opening up the telecast, which will also feature Ricky Hatton facing Juan Urango from Atlanta, Georgia. Problem is, as this goes to print Wright and Taylor have yet to solidify opponents. Boxing fans shouldn't get too excited however, because there's no chance of an immediate rematch taking place on HBO PPV December 2, just a lot of discussion between Golden Boy Promotions and DiBella Entertainment, who **********.com believes are playing the if you fight us we'll fight you game. Golden Boy Promotions promotes Kassim "The Dream" Ouma and will co-promote (along with Winky Promotions) Wright's December 2 PPV bout. Lou DiBella, President of DiBella Entertainment promotes undisputed middleweight champion Jermain "Bad Intentions" Taylor and former welterweight champion Ike "Bazooka" Quartey. Could it be that Winky Wright will face Ike Quartey on December 2 IF Jermain Taylor defends against Kassim Ouma on December 9? Both Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer and Lou DiBella were unavailable when we called to ask them earlier today but there will be much more to follow. (8:45 PM EST)Comment

i'd like to see this fight although i don't think ouma can beat taylor if he fights an intelligent fight. ouma's style is perfect for wright but w/ taylor, who moves well in the ring, ouma will find it difficult to launch his attacks-which is from the inside!Originally posted by borikuaWhen HBO scheduled Winky Wright and Jermain Taylor to appear on consecutive Saturday's in December, one has to imagine that the network has an eye towards making a Jermain Taylor-Winky Wright rematch in early 2007.
