    Calzaghe: "Woods-Johnson is a 50/50 Fight"

When Glen Johnson challenges Clinton Woods for the IBF light heavyweight title in Bolton on Saturday night, undefeated IBF/WBO super middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe will be watching and cheering Johnson on. As previously noted, Calzaghe has reached a 'provisional agreement' to move up to light-heavyweight and meet Johnson, likely in February 2007 in Manchester. [details]

No way, really, Joe? I thought 2 guys who had 2 fights, one a draw, another a close decision would be a blow out in the making...

As for his fight with Johnson, terrible. The guy has the chance to unify a division he's spent 41 fights in, and he elects to leave when he can get his wish....terrible.

Woods has improved considerably since they last fought... experience, nutrion, strength... while it's surely impossible for Johnson to be as hungry as he was the last time they met. I've got five bil on Woods if anyone wants to take the bet.

I dont think he has the time to wait it out for fights like that to happen, with unification.

Seriously, his strength - he had an iron deficiency - had clearly risen, and he's developed his tools more, such as a mean right uppercut.

I don't think his competition has been that bad, he made Rico Hoye his *****.

Though if you want to stake three bil on Monson...

Joe Blow on Blow-Lacy: "People are saying it's a 50-50 fight. It's not a 50-50 fight, because I'm a better boxer than he is, isn't it, boyo?"

Blow knows what he's talking about.

Did you miss that Beyer and Kessler are fighting to unify WBA and WBC belts? That's the fight he should take after his sparring session with Bika.
