People need to realize that Floyd talks the way he does to hype his fights. Toney-Peter would not be getting the press its getting if they weren't trashing each other, it gets people interested. Floyd tries to get in the media a lot like Toney, RJJ, Tarver, Hopkins and lots of other great fighters. He's going to run his mouth to get people interested cuz thats what gets him paid. After the fight, he gave Gatti respect.

Not many people know that about Floyd. He went to Grand Rapids Public Schools and handed out coats, hats, gloves, etc. during the winter because a lot of kids couldn't afford that stuff. He doesn't ask to get recognition for that stuff, but he is a very good person who hasn't forgotten where he's come from.

he is far from a very good person. great fighter and nice to his fans? sure. but he does charity and community service as punishment for his crimes. and to make up for the bad stuff that he does.

u can tell he is a "nice" guy from his interviews and stuff, but he has a short temper and gets way outta line a lot of times. he has cleaned up his act in the last year or so though, i will give him that.

That is a piece of **** thing to say. That **** happened a long time ago when he was just getting his money and fame. He has overcome that stuff and changed his life outside of boxing for the better.

like i said, he has definetly cleaned up his act for the better since he was accused of beating his childrens mother in 2005.

he hasnt dont wrong and has only done right. idk if it'll stay that way, but if it does thats great for him. but there is no denying a persons past and i can never respect him for the things he did.

a lot of people, like yourself, can forgive a person if he changes his life around. its a good reason to, i dont blame u, but i cant. if someone does something THAT wrong i can not look the other way ever

2002 wasnt to long ago. and its more of a piece of **** thing to do, then say.

again, i could never forgive mayweather for beating 2 innocent women at a night club, beating his wife twice, and beating the mother of his children. once and only once is forgivable, but not 3+ times AND beating 2 women at once?

i never really liked gatti as a fighter but then i saw the trilogy of him and ward and now i realise how much of a warrior he is (not takin anythin away from ward) now i respect him as a fighter (hence the sigs and avatar) i always did as a person though
