all the fighters on the contender are overrated..the best fighters are ishe smith and peter manfredo and neither will be real champs..mora will NEVER be "ready" for taylor

I agree with what many have said here - and yet I see the logic you used to say Mora is "not ready" for Taylor. Sergio Mora is simply not on Jermain Taylor's level. Taylor is more skilled- look at his Olympic career- so that is not an advantage Mora would have. Taylor is a bull of a man- big, muscular body- so there is neither a physical advantage for Mora, either. To say he is not ready implies that he could get better, though, and I agree that Mora is all he can be right now. A good fighter, decent, but nothing special and definetly not, in my eyes, the one to wrestle the championship away from Jermain.

I'm not one way or the other on this, because I don't know ENOUGH about Taylor to say, but isn't this type of talking the same type of thing that happened right before RJJ got krumped, TWICE? (Dont take that as an RJJ bash, I think the guy is great). My point is that this discussion is veering away from the general point I think is intended. Mora is "ready" for a Taylor fight, because he's 19-0 and good on tv. He is and forever will be at a serious disadvantage to Taylor because he's lighthanded and relies on his chin. Anyone who says he has a weak chin hasn't read the stat that says he's visited the canvas only once. The man can walk through some punches. Taylor punches? No, but some punches, yes. So is Sergio ready? Yes. Should he take a higher ranked fighter as a tune up/step up before Taylor? Yes. Will he be on Taylor's level, now or ever? Not unless his power significantly increases. Its a question of advantage, not readiness.

                    ...seriously?

I think mora could hold his own for maybe 2 or 3 losing rounds. then it would become quite one-sided before taylor finally knocks him out by round 6 or 7...

Your rumor is a bit out dated. That was about a month or 2 months ago, the latest stories suggest that Taylor is being pitted against Ouma.
