my suggestion to save the heavyweights

make the champions fight at least one fight every 5 months. I am a huge klitschko supporter and liked lyakovich in his last fihgt... but klitschkos was in april and if he waits for maskaev it will be december or january (8 or 9 months) and lyakhovich was before that and he still doesnt have an opponent or date signed..... i dont care if those two fight eachother, briggs, brock, maskaev or joe ****ing blow i at least would like to see them in the ring more often. I would love to watch wladimir pick apart heavyweights such as davaryll williamson every couple of months. It will build a fanbase for teh ehavyweights... in a mock year if either wlad sergei or even maskaev were to fight say davaryll in january then a unification bout in june or july and with the winner of the unification bout fight a guy lke sultan ibragimov or ray austin at the end of the year, if anything like this were to happen in then heavyweight division it would be popular as ever. i dont think the ehavyweight division is dead or dying due to the lack or power, heart, skill, upsets, and cindarella stories, its due simply to inactivity, i dont really give a **** who these guys fight i jsut wanna see them fight.

Your right, its such a simple idea; these guys should fight more frequently than they do right now. In Ali's years, it wasn't unusual to fight 3-4 times per year. Infact, in between hard fights, Ali had a "bum of the month" club where he fought lower level competition or fighters who didn't have a chance against him. It didn't hurt his legacy because he always would fight the better opponents soon after.

If the current lot of champions fought 3 times per year, it would help the sport immensly. But no, we have Wlad Klitshko waiting 8 months to climb back into the ring.

You are right. These guys aren't getting the exposure because they rarely fight. Almost all of the Heavy's in the top 10 (or even 12) could make a case for being #1, but nobody knows if they don't fight. That is why there is no "superstar" in the division. Only the fights can decide and they just aren't fighting.

or get the champs to fight the champs. people are too comfortable being a world champion when they should be striving to become THE world champion

            No no no no,

We need a big fake ****er to dominate in staged fights KOing every1 in the 1st round, that'll inspire a bunch of ****s to start and we'll probably have ourselves a new ****in king of heavyweights! weeeker!!!
