Prime RJJ vs Luis Ortiz at heavyweight.

If this had happened in 2003 just after Roy beat Ruiz, both men would have been 33-34 and in their primes

    Who takes it.

Jones by wide decision. Ortiz too slow to catch him.

Jones would do a paint job on Ortiz.

I honestly haven’t seen the Jones - Ruiz fight since I watched it live. I’m gonna pull that one up and watch it from the beginning. That was clutch Roy

Roy's glass chin would be shattered all over the ring courtesy of King Kong.

I would pick Ortiz. He is a real heavyweight with excellent boxing skills and big power in both hands. Jones was great but a light heavyweight and never a heavyweight. I doubt he could hurt Ortiz much or take Ortiz's power for 12 rounds. Jones might win a few rounds with his speed but not the fight. Ortiz wins the fight either by many points or by KO in my opinion. Ortiz is vastly superior to Ruiz who Jones beat to win a heavyweight title.

Roy Jones Junior was not a great heavyweight, he would have to stylistically choose his matches.

Tommy Morrison at heavyweight would of beaten Roy Jones Junior, no harm in that 'It is just some of these heavyweights where just too strong'.

Roy Jones Junior could beat some heavyweights, but not all of them.

Ortiz at his peak, would maybe beat Roy Jones Junior.

Note: Roy Jones Junior never extended himself at heavyweight so it is hard to tell, he never full emptied the tank vs Ruiz 'As he did not need to etc'.
