After getting obliterated by Fury, it would be nice seeing AJ vs Wilder.

LOL the Wilder rematch? Still clinging to that hope. We've had a fkking rematch already, Wilder got squashed.

Charles Martin had a belt, should Joshua not try take that belt cuz it wouldn't impress Thack? I can't say I've ever seen you moan about Wilder beating Stiverne which isn't exactly better is it.

It’ll make perfect sense for two reasons. One, they’ll both be Fury’s leftovers and two, aside from them plus Fury, nobody gives two shets about any other heavyweight so you don’t have any other “commercial” options.

Nah I would pass on that for the next 18 months, PBC overcooked their steak in this one, that **** is burnt beyond recognition right now, glad he is still getting his “Floyd Mayweather training money” from whomever was clever enough to talk/cost/con him out of millions. But honestly when you listen to Wilder and his fans you can tell they aren’t too bright, you don’t need to be a Harvard graduate to con them.

This X 2. Thack definitely knows the angles. Barry Maurice has always been honest, whether it’s mentioning the desire to keep the gravy train running with Josh or talking about slave contracts, the man says what he means to the point even young Edward has said he needs to keep his father quiet lol

Joshua won the title against I dare not mention his name twice in four years! and fought Wlad and povetkin both veterans , Parker who was not tested and proved to be just ok. Whyte who has just been levelled himself by a vet. and Takam who was levelled by Chisora .Not to mention being completely dismantled by a short fat Ruiz. Tyson for his part uses his size well but what he did against Wilder who can only punch I wouldn't fancy he could do to even a small but prime Holyfield and how would he cope with a great jab from Holmes , the fighting instinct and power of Lewis and the crushing fast power of Mike Tyson ! We can only watch what is there today but I believe a little prospective is required here as it's more right time right place. Joshua is certainly not up there, Fury might be but isn't yet.
You seriously nailed it with this one. I’ve been saying that since the Tyson-Jones hype. The reason that sold so many PPVs is because that 90s era of heavyweights was the 2nd best era in the divisions history. You had Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis, Bowe, Moorer, Foreman, Holmes, Mercer, etc etc it was on fire. People remember that. Of course the newer Johnny come lately fans who have come to the sport because of Edward Hearn and Josh don’t, that’s why that lot was comparing Josh to Ali.....talking about all time greatness without even facing serious adversity. This era’s heavyweights while able to produce some local excitement is still a poor era. Not as poor as the Klitschko years but the heavyweights are NOT carrying the sport of boxing as they have done in the past. Anyone saying any different is selling something or simply ignorant

Martin was a stepping stone, good fights later that year.

We are forgetting that fury beat wilder twice.

If it makes dollars, it makes sense. I could see it happening. It's still a compelling fight as both guys have the power to brutally end the fight at any moment.
