I like that fight for both fighters. It’s a chance for Loma to get a very top notch quality win and get his mojo back. And it’s a chance for Commey to prove he is elite and solidify his spot. If he beats Loma that puts him right there with Teo and sets up a rematch that Teo wouldn’t want to give him. Lol. Imo Lopez’ KO was great stuff but I feel a rematch would be a stellar fight. Teo wouldn’t KO Commey that early next time which imo spells trouble for Teo.

Sure why not. Commey fighting Verdejo, Nakatani, Lomachenko or Romero are all good fights I'd want to see

Lou, you're absolutely right, but it ain't going to happen! Why fight Commey when you can fight Nakatani:

Nakatani fights back from brink to beat Verdejo, Berlanga extends first-round KO streak to 16

For the first time in his career, Masayoshi Nakatani was knocked down. Felix Verdejo even did it twice, striking in the first, and then again in the fourth. And for most of the fight, it looked like Verdejo was in control. The scorecards agreed. Then, in the seventh round of their co-main event fight on the Shakur Stevenson-Toka Kahn Clary undercard, Nakatani flipped the script, starting down the path to a comeback that initially didn't seem like it would come.

Nakatani landed a straight right hand, and everything seemed to change in an instant. Verdejo was stunned, and Nakatani took advantage. He attacked in the eighth, and then, in the middle of the ninth, Nakatani landed a left jab on Verdejo's chin. Verdejo got up, and seconds later, Nakatani knocked him down again and knocked him out, winning the vacant WBO Intercontinental lightweight title at 1:45 into the ninth round.

Arum Eyeing Lomachenko Comeback Fight Against Masayoshi Nakatani In Summer

Nakatani’s win was a wonderful rebound following his 2019 unanimous decision loss to Lopez.

Both Lomachenko and Nakatani competed at lightweight in their last bout, and both will be coming into their potential meeting nursing serious injuries.

Lomachenko underwent right shoulder surgery following the Lopez fight, while Nakatani suffered a fractured right orbital bone in the fight versus Verdejo.

I don't see a pathway for Commey to get a title @ 135, but maybe fighting Zepeda @ 140 is the way to go?

If Lopez had to KO a gyu to be recognized by loma as a contender then I don't think commey is what loma needs to prove himself over Lopez. Loma need Ryan Garcia or Devin Haney victory.

              Lomachenko should be smiling

Commey has only a punchers chance at winning this, in fact because his defense so terrible I can see him being stopped inside the distance. Make the fight, easy money!

They were either mandatories or to collect belts. Commey doesn't really bring anything. But after lomas next fight and the other four refuse to fight him then i guess he can fight him

If Berchelt wins, Loma should fight him next!

By that same logic, Lomo is Commey's left over. Nobody should get a fight after they lost it seems. Imagine how many memorable fights and great fighters would have gone by the wayside if we chose your logic?

IMO, the timing couldn't be better. The guy with his hand raised will undoubtedly call out Lopez for a unification money fight

                      Winner.... FANS!!!!!

Both guys got beat by Lopez. Commey got vaporized in two. How in the heck is that a win for fans?
