Comments Thread For: Joe Joyce Confident Oleksandr Usyk Would Face Him in UK

Olympic silver medal winner Joe Joyce has no problem traveling overseas to secure a high-stakes fight with Oleksandr Usyk - which would have the WBO's interim-heavyweight title at stake. But, he also believes Usyk would embrace the possibility of staging their fight in the UK.

If i am in usyk team i would since taking a risk since usyk seems to struggle at heavyweight n joyce isnt great but is slightly better than chisora but bigger so to compensate self for the risk when your aim is for a cash out anyways vs a champ. So either tell joyce fight is in vegas 7.5m saudi/middle east for 10m n uk cause socialist level taxes would command a 15m payday other than that u those are the options you can decide n if goes to bid goodluck for hearns got deep pockets

The problem with this kind of criticism is why we will end up with more Wilders / Bryant / Love joys who spend their first 25 odd fights knocking out no bodies because why would you fight the Whytes / Parkers / Klitchkos instead.

I get people hate the Canelos and Joshuas but at least they fight who else you got and we'll compare their boxrecs here.

Also the problem with this kind of criticism is that he thinks Charles Martin is better than Wladimir Klitschko. Most people have a problem with criticism that is complete bollocks.

well actually it was 5 weeks notice & Ruiz had just beat Dimitrenko following a training camp so he really wasn’t out of fighting shape but it was a different story innthe rematch.

I wouldn't fight anyone in the UK with all the BS scorecards that we've seen weekly.

The quick turn around, most likely benefited a fighter like Ruiz Junior 'Heavyweights don't have to make weight'.

It is abit different for fighters at lower weights 'Fighters like Kovalev probably had to slightly weight drain himself before he fought Alavarez' Kovalev only had 6 weeks turnaround after the Yardie fight etc
