Margarito Fans, what fight convinced you that he was the real deal?

so what, if he fought floyd, he'll prolly outweigh him 15lbs. it dont matter where the fight was at. if it was in CA, he would have lost. The man lost the fight to a mediocre fighter, point blank.

i dont think so that was hometown decision just the way it goes sometimes but it was a bull**** decision in my opinion

the only way he could win is using his speed. marg is the type of fighter that bullies u. he was going agasint the bigger man and almost had him out. u tell me how many people can do that. different styles different outcome. santos can always catch him with a good shot if he is that heavy. plus at the weight pbf comes in he'd be outweight by 20-25lbs if he fought santos.

if u really saw the fight u would know its a bs dec. so when people mention his loss to santos and diss him i know they havent seen the fight so y talk ****?

I saw the fight, it was close, but at the end of the dayhe didnt win. he fought him again and didnt win because of a cut. and then u say the only way is using his speed. Come on dude, thats exactly what he'll do, thats why he would win. he gon hit him three times and move for 12 rounds for an unanimous wide decision.

No, not one single fighter has called out the top fighter in the game w/o proving his worth and got that fight. margo is no exception, he got to prove his worth against significant competition.

never said hes the real deal but what made me a fan was the fight against santos. he was fight santos in P.R., outweight by 15 lbs and still had the heart and courage to take big shots and stay in there with a bigger man. he lost a bs hometown decision, u gotta love the good guy.

Stop making up stuff. Santos was 170 & Margarito was 160. He finaly fights one guy who he doesnt outweight by a 100 pounds and you think thats special? Add to that Santos is so soft and it means nothing. Alot of guys fight guys much bigger then them all the time. Floyd is always way smaller then his opponent. ****ing Chico weighed 147 for there 130 pound fight. Castillo was much bigger then Floyd, so was N'Dou, and I can go on.

how are you the best p4p if u r not fighting the best? gatti, mitchell, and judah. yea they had belts but all 3 were not good enough to beat him. I knew it, u knew it everyone knew it so get off his nuts and make him fight the ****in best to earn that damn title.

Beating Margo won't prove anything either. After that fight everyone will say, "well, who did Margo ever beat? A post-surgery Cintron and post KO 6 heads?" They will classify Margo with Judah, Gatti, and Mitchell as has-been fighters past their prime who really never beat anyone.

The fact is he was the underdog against Corrales; he was the underdog against Castillo in the first fight; he was a huge underdog against Genaro Hernandez when he won his first title. Floyd isn't fighting "nobody" because nobody wants to fight him. He left 140 lbs because Hatton and Cotto wouldn't fight him (and Vivian wanted too much money). He almost left 147 because nobody there wanted to fight him either (except Margo but Floyd was looking for money fights and he knew that Mosley or DLH would pay more). He didn't sign the Margo fight because he was waiting for the results of the DLH-Mayorga and Vargas-Mosley fights. After those fighters refused to fight him, Baldy offered him just as much money to fight him as Margo PLUS the chance to be the WW linear champ.

You tell me what you would've done in his position. I certainly would've waited for the DLH and Mosley fights to see if they wanted to fight for more money than Margo was offering. As soon as I found out they wanted nothing to do with me, I'd fight Baldy for the WW Championship for the same money than Margo for the WBO belt. If you would fight Margo instead of Baldy, DLH, or Mosley, you're nuts.

Are you sure about that? because I been following the game and I seen many situations when a fighter gets a shot at the title without proving himself for example Gatti Vs Baldomir or Maskaev vs Rahman

mayweather fights with speed so of course he will have a better chance of beating someone who is heavier than him but margarito didnt becuz he has a bully style of fighting. thats y i became a fan of his. let what i say sink into your heads.
