If you would fight Margo instead of Baldy, DLH, or Mosley, you're nuts.

    I agree here

plus ATM Marg is not above Baldi in stature not to unbias fans anyway

you guys just dont learn, in every Mayweather/Margo thread it always ends with mayweather winning! margo never beat anyone great (or considered a top 5-10 fighter)...IMO i believe margo should take the fight with paul willams and the winner takes mayweather/baldo for a fight in dec./jan.....that way, if any of those 4 wins both fights-he could easily finish his carear with a oscar de la hoya fight and retire RICH and on top of his ****!

I've been convinced by the fact that he has been decapitating contenders for quite a while now. Whe he gets the chance to step up we'll see how far he can go. the reason people wanted to see him against floyd was because the style and size factors make for a fight that Tony can win, notice i didnt deminish any of floyds accomplishments

. I hope he fights Wiliams but i know that if he knocks him out inside of six as he has been doing to the other contenders people are going to say he was too green even though they were picing against him. What he really needs to do is pick a semi elite fighter like Collazo, judah, rivera, or ouma and fight them even if the purse isnt great it will really put him in the mix.

He is truly a dangerous fighter who's power and size at 147 make him very dangerous, and he's entertaining.

Ummmm.... thank you. Its sad that I feel the need to thank someone for posting something worth reading, but I thought you should know you made a nice post. Seems to be rare around here. I have to say that I agree with the 4 fighters you put out there. All would make for good fights and would tell a lot about both of the boxers involved.

thanks man, i know a lot of guys hate floyd on here but i don't. I am a true fan of his and cleaned up on bets when he fought gatti, i knew it was gonna be a massacre. At the same time though i know that Stylistically Tony could give him problems, but since the fight wasn't made he needs to move on and fight someone that will propel him to bigger fights, with or without mayweather.

I want to see him versus williams just because i think people are gicing him too much credit for his last couple of wins and feel like he's in for a rude awakening versus margarito, but i know he needs a fight versus collazo or someone of that caliber to solidify his position although i do think he would win.
many don't give him credit at all but cintron, gomez and lujan were all legit top 10 fighters by ring when he fought them, he just made them look like journeymen.

and floyd is not the real deal. the only difference between those 4 fighters and floyd is that they have the balls to fight other fighters who could even put a dent in their record. floyd is too scared to fight anyone whos a threat ever since he moved up.
The only conclusion I can come to from that statement is that you have very very little boxing knowledge.

Marg is unknown by the casual boxing fans and he is only really known to the hardcore boxing fans that's why Floyd won't and shouldn't fight him. If he can't get money from Marg then what's the point? Boxing is a business and Floyd knows this more than most. Why fight a guy that can pose a threat to you if you aren't getting paid good money for it. At this point in his career he's all about money and Marg isn't money. Marg needs to stop fighting these unknown guys and fight guys like Judah to get a shot at Floyd or Baldy depending who wins. Do i think Marg has a chance to beat Floyd? Absolutly, why not, he's got great power and will most likely be the bigger man but that doesn't mean much when you fight a guy with superior boxing skills like Floyd. IMO, this is how the fight would go, for every wide punch Marg throws Floyd would pop in a shot or 2 and back off, and he would do this all night for a wide UD or get a tko if he opens up a cut on Marg. Marg obviously has a chance to land a big shot b/c even as good as Floyd is, you can't dodge ever punch. I would pick Floyd to win easy but I wouldn't count Marg out at all b/c of his power.

The Santos fight. Talk about avoided fighters, NO ONE wanted a piece of Santos, Margo came up in weight, took Santos' hardest shots and kept stalking and landing. I had him losing by a point at the time of the stoppage, but I think if the fight wasnt' stopped, Margo was gonna win it as Santos was dead tired. There's a few guys in boxing that I don't bet against them, one of them is Margo.
