Margarito Fans, what fight convinced you that he was the real deal?

He has never proven to be more of a threat, but because he destroys his C level opponents impressivly (Shannon Briggs like) and has a promoter who has done excellent work, people are lead to believe he is more of a threat, when there is no evidence pointing to that fact.

Look I am not a Marg nuthugger, but Baldi was given the oppurtunity to shoow what he could do because people underestimated him and thought he was gonna be a stepping stone. Had Marg been given the oppurtunity Baldi was given I beleive he would prove it. They are both big strong guys, but I beleive that Marg has more power and he is definately younger and definately moves better than Baldi. Baldi does not move at all. I'm not saying Marg has the best movement but he's better than Baldi. I think his style would pose problems for Floyd, and I beleive that Floyd and his people know that and that is why they are so hesitant to fight him. All Floyd is gonna do to Baldi is dance his way to a decision, because if he dioes try to fight him straight up that is where he could get into trouble. I'm not saying Baldi is an easy fight, but I don't think he has a realistic shot unless Floyd just stands in front of him, which we all know will never happen. He won't stand in and fight him. It's gonna be a track meet.

These so called great resumes that people have are jokes. Tony wouldve killed more than half of these opponents on the top welterweights lists. Thats the threat right there. U r telling me Spinks wouldve kept him at bay for 12 rounds? get outta here. Tony wouldve laughed in his face like he always does to his opponents.

And for the record... nobody was actually a Margarito fan until he began to "call out" Floyd. People knew of him and thought of him as a decent fighter, but it wasn't until Floyd was looking for opponents at Welter did talks about Margarito actually begin. That means that FLoyd haters became Tony nuthuggers and the Mexican fan base found a new person to hoist on their shoulders.

I hope Margarito takes on one of the numerous challengers who is actually a theat to him and gets beat down. Then I can look back at the last 4 months on this website and laugh my ass off.

Also when saying his style makes him dangerous and a threat to floyd mayweather im not saying that floyd isnt the best pound for pound or that baldomir isnt good. i just think, and his DESTRUCTION of 3 ring magazine top 10 contenders is why i do, that he has a good style to beat mayweather. Also if he fought judah or Gatti, he would of knocked out judah and trust me Gatti wont go past 5.

i dont see how spinks would do that for 12 rounds. u know he has stamina problems and marg doesnt. he would catch him at any point in the right. Karmazin wouldnt be able to hurt him and most likely wouldnt be able to tak his power.
