Someone needs to tell Dillian he was knocked unconscious and that is not alright....A guy coming up 42 years of age fighting a rematch on PPV with a guy he has just sparked .There some serious suckers out there!

If you didn't find that fight entertaining then HW boxing isn't for you... I do agree the fight and card don't justify being PPV thoComment

Wait, there is a big difference between not accepting you lost and not being happy about it.
He is openly talking about losing here and how he lost. He doesn't make one excuse, other than he accepts it's HW boxing and anyone can get sparked - which is true. Name me a HW great who wasn't knocked out? There aren't many.
[Sarcasm off]
I don't have a problem with what he's saying here. Half of it is just geeing himself up and the rest is giving fair dues to the guy that beat him -- hence acknolwedging Povetkin's impressive amateur record. The man got skills and that's how he turned a fight around in which he'd gone down twice.
Whyte points are basically: Povetkin was losing the fight before the KO (true); knockouts can and do happen in HW boxing all the time (true); the reason that it could happen was because he was in the ring with a fighter with pedigree (true); people shoudn't be too shocked by it (true).
At no point does he say he didn't deserve to lose (the opposite really; he says he didn't have a good fight and his opponent was quality).
The spurious part is when he says Povetkin got more beat up than himself -- but really that is just telling himself what he needs to have the confidence to go into the rematch.Comment

No, no, no, you're applying common sense here and referring to what he actually said, when the game here is to misinterpret his words wilfully in order to make yourself feel better.

Anyway completely agree. Whyte is actually being very respectful while also obviously psyching himself and his fans up for the rematch... Which is the name of the game when you are both trying to win and sell tickets / PPV buys.
Massive stakes here too! No way Whyte can lose twice in a row to Povetkin and claim world level status...Comment

Of course a fight with knockdowns heavyweight or not , a fighter behind on points coming back with a KO is always entertaining , that's separate to what I'm saying ? It seems the suckers will pay for anything Hearn deems to be PPV and that's almost everything with a slight interest.Comment

Lol this is too true, the need for people to insult fighters on here is draining. I'd love to know how many have ever actually wrapped their hands and boxed themselves...

NoBody from the UK has ever juiced according to ldbc *****s founding member,& Ukad is uncorruptible & doesn't cover up letting cheats fight juiced without opponents knowing either." We're all just being ignorant" when we say Shyte & his fangimps deserve to be compressed into a singularity at the bottom of the ocean.
You study at the Tony Bellend school of pikedumb, where "Canelo should be banned for life because it wasn't 1 taco amount of mex beef like vada said,he must be guilty, unlike good lads such as Billy & Dillian who are from good clean stock & would never juice, now AJ how about a mouf milking?" (Actual Tony Bellend quote)this your credoLast edited by kushking; 02-18-2021, 10:13 AM.Comment
