Top pound-for-pound fighter and WBO welterweight champion Terence "Bud" Crawford (37-0) was in Las Vegas this past weekend to work the corner of Troy Isley, who won his pro debut with an unanimous decision over Bryant Costello. The four round fight was on the Richard Commey-Jackson Mariez undercard. The bout streamed on ESPN+ along with the rest of the non-televised undercard.

We all prefer the Spence fight, but we all will be 20 years older waiting on the promoters to make that happen. Maybe it will be an Exhibition fight when they both are 50 years old.

If being the biggest little word in the dictionary aside. What if Crawford fights Porter and is the first one to stop him? Does Crawfords stock go up? Does he get credit for stopping the guy that nobody else has even though he has been beat before?

Folks, there will be no super fights until later this year at least. Any fights requiring 8 figure paydays for both guys will have to wait for a bit more of a recovery. We can forget about Crawford v Spence for now. My guess is that won’t happen until ‘22 at the earliest because that requires ESPN and FOX getting together for joint promotion PPV and that’s not going to happen unless there is a return.
Staying with Arum may be good for crawford’s billfold, but in the long run it’s going to prove to hurt his career because he has flown under the radar of the average sports fan. He wasn’t successful at PPV, he doesn’t really have any killers on his resume that capture the imagination, I’m not sure a fight with Spence even produces more than Spence’s last two opponents. We as boxing fans know Crawford but how many paying casuals do? He has to be the worst promoter big talent in recent memory

Bob will say that the negotiations for either guy fell apart and go and dig up another body for Bud to fight and but will gladly will.

Who wouldn’t? When Pac is around then the whole division would rather get his payday. Which shows that all these guys at WW need each other. Only if they didn’t spend more time talking rather than actually wanting to negotiate to fight each other.
