Why do people act being a champion is such a huge deal when we have 4 belts and like 3 to 6 pounds of separation between weight classes? Moving up doesn't mean **** when you go up a whopping 3lbs to fight a "belt holder" who most don't even consider a top 10 guy in that weight class. Unless the consensus number 1 beats a consensus number 2 at a weight class, you are not a champion.

You assumed I've never boxed, you don't know whether I've boxed or not.
Back in the day we had the original 8, but most casual fans today don't even know that.
I don't know how any non casual fan of the sport can think we don't have too many weight classes and beltsComment

I assumed you never boxed because you have a clear lack of disrespect for professional boxers who put their lives in the ring for your entertainment. You assumed I've never boxed, you don't know whether I've boxed or not.

Also I find it funny how you are talking about being the real champ by beating the best guys in your division, and I agree with that. Who has Bud exactly beaten at 147?Comment

Stop blowing **** up to more than it is, how is that disrespectful? If the Kansas City Chiefs called themselves the 2021 champions, Id call them out on that too. There can only be 1 champ. That doesn't mean I'm disrespecting professional athletes.I assumed you never boxed because you have a clear lack of disrespect for professional boxers who put their lives in the ring for your entertainment.

The only person being disrespectful towards professional boxers in this thread is YOU by suggesting that guys like Brook, Khan, Horn, Benavidez, Mean Machine are bums.
Either way, I never said Bud was #1 at 147. That goes to Spence. But he was at 135 and 140, which is more than most guys can say.Comment

I know it's not popular but the honest truth is I respect WBC titles above all else.
In simple terms, WBC is the first actual real world title. The WBA predecessor is a response to the WBC's predecessor. The IBF and WBO are both splinters of an older version of the WBA. Lineal is a posthumous term applied by historians to whoever they as a consensus decides has the best claim to championships.
So to me, WBC > WBA+WBO+IBF because the WBC is the NYSAC and the NBA is the WBA+IBF+WBO
Undisputed is still better than single strap though.
So often I think of the WBC as the true champion. That's the OG belt in america combined with the french and british versions who both pre-date the NBA as well. The NBA is literally the knockoff title for the NYSAC. The WBO and IBF are literally knockoff titles that knockedoff the knockoff. I'll stick with the original.
It's not like they make it hard.
Fury
Canelo
Beter
Charlos
Spence
Ramirez
Teo and Haney are both good
Miggy and GRJ are good too
Anything smaller idgaf anyway.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mean to say with say Spence he's better than Bud or more of a true champion than Bud. Bud's an undisputed, I respect the hell out of that. Bud was the first in a long ass time too. But, in this division Spence holds the real title while Bud holds the title I see as a foruth place title. WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO is the order they came out and the order I respect.
