I was saying during the fight Josh should have doubled up on the jab and ducked the counter left hook from lara. Instead Josh tried to throw a left-right-left hook combo and got caught before he could finish the combo. He never leaned and his corner was terrible. Josh kept throwing combos and got caught square on the chin and that was all she wrote.
Sometimes you just have to believe in your jab and boxing ability. Think Ali and not Tyson

Regrets trading punches? I mean Warrington pretty much has one style of fighting. His pressure and volume was not going to work as effective against someone who has a very good chin, good stamina and one who is able to punch like Lara. Warrington's style is tailor made for fighters like Lara.
Warrington is not going to be able to fight much different in a rematch. He's likely to get hurt again and his team should advice him to just pass on the immediate rematch.
Zanfer is the truth, he has some damn good fighters under the radar that perform well with their first big shot. I'm just wondering how exactly Lara even found himself in this fight? Did Hearn just look at the IBF rankings and say Lara was ranked in the top 10 and picked him for this fight? Did Zanfer reach out to Hearn for this fight? Definitely misplayed this badly.

Warrington said that he wanted to end it early, the first few punches looked like it affected Lara and he went for it.
I think he got buzzed hard in the first round and never recovered. I have seen better stuff from him. When he threw straight punches he was fine, the second he exchange he was getting caught. Lara has been active so I don't think that the expected him to be so sharp.
Also Warrington was not ducking any of those winging punches that Lara was throwing, he should had not gotten hit with so many of those. Got to give credit to Lara because he did get hit and kept coming, that first knockdown the fight should had been stopped, if it was Lara that would had gone down like that they would had stopped the fight.
One thing is that Warrington showed cojones.

Right away in the first you could see the difference in ferocity and pressure. Warrington may not be truly elite at the world level. He’s a fine fighter but there’s levels to the pressure game once you’re looking at top ranked Mexican and American guys who are more used to each other’s styles.

You should have boxed smoothly on the back foot with plenty of head movement, not engaging in 50/50 phonebooth trade offs, and launching attacks at the right time... oh wait a minute, that's not in your kitbag.

Worse thing is Lara isn't even a big puncher and he was so slow too. I think it was the fact Josh could not hurt Lara at all and his power let him down.
Guys with low power really struggle against guys with a decent chin and power. The only person i can think of in the modern times that has been successful is Paulie Malignaggi and that was without going to war with punchers lol!

I know he lost, But I think he massively underestimated Warrington and when that happens it’s very hard to adjust your mindset once you’re in the ring. Not to mention he was in the middle of court cases when he was training for the fight and stuff like that
I mean nothing is a good excuse, it’s poor from a fighter as good as Frampton to have that mentality and loss of focus
I always felt a more focused Frampton would beat him in a rematch now he knows a bit more what to expect.
Then again, styles make fights. Warrington is basically a face first, high volume pressure fighter. Not ideal when you’re in with a big puncher who will happily trade, as he found out on Saturday,
