Comments Thread For: Joseph Diaz's Weighty Issues Burden Him In Disappointing Draw With Rakhimov

By Corey Erdman - Sitting in his hotel room at the Fantasy Springs Casino without a bead of sweat on him, JoJo Diaz realized it wasn't going to happen. Try as he might, the final four pounds to get him down to his contracted limit of 130 just weren't going to come off. He'd spent the bulk of Thursday wrapped in plastics, stuffed inside a sauna suit, running on a treadmill, shado...

Wow, second DUI? I hope they throw the book at him. He had his chance when he got the first DUI. These low life drunk drivers are out here murdering people. I've known people to lose their lives or have serious car accidents because of drunks at the wheel.

After he serves his prison time that will force him to put the bottle down. Not cool.

Yes sir. That is ridiculous. A grown man ought to know better. Unfortunately,he will probably get another slap on the wrist. Wish Farmer could have beat him. At least he is a professional. I can't stand drunk drivers....

I am both shocked that Diaz writes articles by name of 'Corey Erdman' and that he knows how to write.
Because only Diaz himself would have written such a complex Excuse Box of lying BS about himself.

"Fighters’ fitness sins can’t be erased last-minute the way they could before. Such was the case for Diaz."

Such was also the case for Rakimov and he made weight . . .

This article weighed in heavy on Jojo's excuses for not making weight. Hope Diaz gets his stuff together, 2 DUIs and second time in his career not making weight? Not good at all.

Diaz is a professional and was a champ. He should be a pro with his career even when he is not fighting and keeping himself on check. Losing part of his purse alone should had been motivation to stay in shape in between fights.

I rarely accept excuses from fighters when they can't make the weight. Some simply outgrow the division or get ill or hurt until fight time.

Just a matter of time before Diaz's boxing career unravels definitively.

If you lose your discipline as a fighter you will never live up to your potential.

He needs to hire a good nutritionist. But by the sound of it he has other issues he needs to fix, going by the multiple DUIs.
