    Boxing Organizations should dictate fights...NOT these wannabe HOFs

    Fighters should have NO say in who they fight next.

    Remove the duck aspect from this sport.

    The same way baseball teams or football teams don't get to CHOOSE

    Eliminate the ducking from these millennial prima donna MFers already.

    If they refuse... they don't get to fight until they MAN the fck up.

      Just FYI:

      IN that world, Manny Pacquiao would have been forced to rematch Jeff Horn by the WBO;

      Golovkin would have been forced to fight Andre Ward;

      Teofimo would be forced to rematch Lomachenko;

      and Crawford would have been forced to fight Mr. Gary Russell Jr.

      Just making sure you realize what you're asking for with some examples.

        All alphabet belts should be abolished and their orgs thrown out of boxing. They are the biggest problem in boxing next to the greedy promoters.

          Is this the same world where HBO sat them down and asked if they wanted to fight, and GGG said yeah, and Ward said he needs 3 tune up? lol

            I agree with this, and we need 1 org, not 4. 1 org. 1 ranking set.

              This is the only way to save boxing. 1 belt. 1 neutral organization. Less weight classes. Enforcable mandatories. And if you say no to your mandatory, stripped IMMEDIATELY.

                And here comes gggs personal cheerleader to cloud up the facts.

                When a ggg/Ward fight was a real possibility (not when Ward was injured, not when Ward was having legal problems), team ggg (both Leoffler and Sanchez) insisted the fight could only happen at 164. They knew Ward would be hard pressed to make 168 and 164 would be out of the question. In short, they could save face by acting like they were interested in a Ward fight but had no intentions of fighting Ward. This was after approving 168 for both Froch and Chavez Jr. After negotiations fell apart, Ward moved up to fight the #1 light heavy in the perceived killer Kovalev and ggg drug the #3 or #4 welterweight (Brook) up not 1 but 2 weight classes for a fight. So who was looking for tough fights and who wasn't?

                At the time I was very critical of team ggg for this but in hindsight, it was the right move. Ggg made millions that he wouldn't have with a Ward loss on his resume.

                  Exactly. That is the real problem

                    I call out BS on this site. I often do it with Rev. It just so happened that this time he mentioned GGG. It just so happens that a lot of dumb comments on here involve GGG.

                    I don't think Ward or GGG were ever too keen on facing each other. It was a very risky fight for each without much reward other than possibly among hardcore fans. And even then, with a win, the winner may not be given the credit they deserve.

                    I think GGG would have fought Ward when HBO brought them in for that meeting. I don't think Ward was too keen on that fight then.

                    Then, when GGG started building his name, Ward would try to tie his name into GGG's to build some buzz for his own name. Business wise it was a smart move. It gave Ward some attention, but as you mentioned, GGG had other options then. As a result, I don't think he was very keen on fighting Ward then, especially since Ward still wanted to act like the A-side when he wasn't.

                    Ward needed 3 tune ups for Kovalev by the way. So that lends credence to the story from GGG that Ward said he wanted 3 tune ups to fight GGG back in 2014 I believe.f

                    I don't know of any exact negotiations between Ward and GGG after the 2014 HBO meeting. I heard GGG wanted Froch at 166, and maybe would have faced Chavez at full 168. If GGG did fight Froch at 166 I would have called him out on it. If you want to fight in a division, then don't tell the other guy he can't fight at the limit.

                    That 166 was according to Froch however, and he says a lot of hyperbolic stuff so I don't exactly believe it. But I don't doubt that GGG and co. were trying to negotiate fights like that, and possibly were trying to negotiate on weight. If they were, I don't agree with trying to drain a guy down in any circumstance.
