Comments Thread For: Josh Warrington vs. Mauricio Lara - CompuBox Punch Stats

A massive upset in London. In his first fight since voluntarily vacating the IBF featherweight title, Josh Warrington -- fighting for the first time in 16 months -- started strongly (85-55 overall, 65-47 power in rounds 1-3) - but was never the same after Mauricio Lara floored him with a hook in round four.

Warrington’s punches were pitty pats in comparison to the bombs he was receiving, he doesn’t really hurt people and it was a total disaster in styles

          Exactly this!

Heard a rumour last night that Warrington was apparently ahead on two of the score cards.

Which considering what happened to Kiko Martinez I could quite believe!

Warrington was up on all 3 cards, the only round they gave the Mexican was the knockdown round.

The sad thing is, if Warrington somehow managed to make it to the final bell he would've got the decision.

im the only one who thinks the whole thing was another fix, with warrington diving twice.
he took many punches to the face vs frampton and this fight, so why did those specific ones knock him down? you cant say it was an accumulation of punches, because that would have slowed him down bigtime first until all the fight was gone. he was trading like no ones business and then just down.

odds at 40-1 for lara to win by ko.
'just to add some certainty, let's just also fix an undercard fight, you know, like we did with josh kelly and katie taylor?'

There is no way in hell he faked that.

He didn't know what was going on, his legs were jelly, his mouth was cut and the reports are that he suffered a perforated ear drum and a fractured jaw. The man was properly beaten up.
