    Brian Castano didn't accuse Patrick Teixeira of trying to avoid him. The unbeaten Argentinean contender just thinks Teixeira wanted an easier fight in his first defense of the WBO junior middleweight title. Though there were rumors during the pandemic regarding Teixeira facing an opponent other than his mandatory challenger next, the Brazilian southpaw will defend his 154-pound crown against Castano on Saturday night in Indio, California.

      This seems like the sleeper best matchup so far this year. Genuinely wouldn’t mind seeing this fight. Shame it couldn’t happen in Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Santa Fe, or Rio....fans would have been crazy with the Argentina vs Brasil angle....but....pandemic.

                  Castano definitely a better boxer, but it will be interesting to see how he handles Teixeria pressure and high pace. Excellent match up.
