For all those bltching about this minor news update:

• Most general sports outlets won't covers this story.

• It's the biggest fight in boxing.

• This is a boxing website.

Would you prefer this site to not cover updates about the biggest fights in boxing?

One of the reasons I come to this site is that it provides the minor updates that others outlets do not cover.

Hearn providing some detail as to how committed both parties are is of interest to me.

Can't help think there's a lot of parties out there who are butt hurt about their predictions not coming true and worried that this fight is going to be confirmed imminently.

Nah its nothing of note because its the same talk since last year. Fans want to see fights not talking. They claim its a big bag of money in the Middle East for the fight and both fighters have agreed along with mandatories taking other fights etc so the daily talk of how great it is to work with each other and comb each others hair and how everyone is singing around the campfire but still no fight is all cap

Newsflash - Hearn is a promoter. It's his job to talk up his fights.

Newsflash 2 - it's a big fight. It would be weird if you didn't hear about it.

Newsflash 3 - this is supposed to be a boxing site. People spend less time on here discussing boxing than they do whining about promoters. And btw if it wasn't for promoters there wouldn't be any fights. If you think you could do a better job promoting, which is a tough job, then get into the business and prove it.

It's the equivalent of saying 'the fight is a little bit closer', which is I think justified given the magnitude of the fight and the specific nature of this website.

Once again, general sports websites will not cover this stuff but will cover when the fight is confirmed. Go there if you only want confirmed news. Obviously 'fans want to see fights' but if that is all they wanted to see, this website and forum wouldn't exist.
