Alex Ariza did the same to Maidana vs Floyd. The amnonia rush hits very hard, especially if you're just gassed out but conscious the reaction is apparent. Smelling salts are more detrimental to the body because it goes against the natural reaction to shut down, so in some instances it could be very very bad for your heart.
