Canelo Alvarez plans to make up for lost time and lost money in 2021. The Mexican superstar told BoxingScene.com on Wednesday that he would like to fight four times during this calendar year. That would be a highly unusual level of activity for a fighter of Alvarez's stature, but it would enable the four-division champion to regain some of the ground he lost in 2020.

Hopefully after he gets rid of Yildirim, he knocks off Saunders, then Plant. Maybe even get in the 3rd go-around with GGG if Plant doesn't want it. He already knocked off the consensus top guy in Smith in December. Now if only Benavidez could stop burning himself, he'll be the most serious threat to Canelo. This is like old school GGG HBO scheduling; 4 times doe. The difference is that Canelo needs to meet higher standards. The old GGG narrative, even though fighting 4 times a year, is that “nobody” wanted to fight him but fought anyways. Now it’s Canelo who is fighting Champions and fans say HE doesn’t want to fight X-Fighter. Lol

saunders at 168 hasnt proven himself legit at all. hes fought no one ranked, and he nearly lost to some random guy before the glass chinned bum succumbed to his amazing power. he might be legit is the best case scenario, but you could say that about anyone(but callum smith)
