Fortuna isn't anything special when there are, in my opinion, better fighters like Nakatani, Verdejo, Loma, and others. Haney should try Nakatani.

Cheerleader for clowns I see. Say what you want, but Haney has looked like he would rather wait out for the top guys to deal with each other while he fights nobodies and old guys while accusing others of ducking him. Don't see what's so special about him anyway. He's a good fighter, but hasn't been tested by anybody considered even remotely threatening to him. Fortuna is a good time to show what he's worth.

As already posted in this thread, Devin Haney petitioned the WBC to fight Javier Fortuna, they did not honor his request. It was Javier Fortuna who has made the decision to go elsewhere -- and may do it again by facing Ryan Garcia.

Speaking of that bum, you had Devin offering Ryan Garcia a shot, even showing up to his events, getting in the ring and calling him out. Bill and Devin even confronted Bernard Hopkins and De La Hoya about this, only to be told that this fight needed to marinate.

Dumbass Ryan Garcia, nearly got KO for a WBC interim' lightweight title, pretending that he needs to earn his shot, when its been offered freely.

Garcia took care of Campbell already and Haney has been owed Fortuna his shot. Hopefully Haney steps up to the plate and doesn't find a way to avoid Fortuna. His belt already has little credibility, so at least give it some with a win over a credible, dangerous contender. Fortuna is a live dog against either of these two.

Garcia needs to step up and fight the fight that he fought a final eliminator for!

I like Jorge but, a victory over Linares does not elevate Devin Haney : like Yorkis Gamboa, critics will degrade the win on the basis that Jorge Linares is shot, old and very vulnerable. Nevertheless, I would like to see Haney vs. Linares, for the technically super display of skill that they would deliver.

It still didn’t stop Haney from fighting Gamboa. Regardless what people Think of Linares, he is a former world champ At 135 and top 10 lightweight with a name.

A good win which Haney failed to deliver against Gamboa would help him enormously.

A win he doesn’t get, Linares punishes Haney over 12.
