He is probably the worst commentator that has a permanent contract.

Everything every has stated is right, I can't believe how many times Goosen has corrected Lennox in the middle of a fight.

It's not like Lennox is punchy as he sounds fine when the lights aren't on.

I recall Roy Jones stinking when he first started but that was more delivery than insight. Jones improved immensely, Lennox hasn't from his HBO days to the PBC.

His prefight might of been Okay but his on the fly commentary throughout the fight was pretty damn horrendous. It was always the most obvious things he would say that anyone at home would have thought about without even knowing boxing.

One of his comments, "He's bleeding from the nose, so he definitely got punched in the nose".

"He doesn't like to get hit" This was immediately followed up by I believe Larry Merchant, "Nobody likes to get hit".

      His commentary is CRINGE.

I gave him a D because his colleagues will ask him a question and he'll give one sentence replies. My favourite commentator is Al Bernstein from Showtime. I love how he'll point out any flaws without demeaning or berating a fighter's skill or inject his own personal diatribes.

You know who would make an excellent commentator? Mike Tyson. I can't recall exactly which fights they were, but I remember he was watching some fights in the 80s and he was asked in between rounds for his opinions. When he was asked about the fight he just had, he was brief and sort of downbeat, but came to life when he spoke about the fight he was watching and you could tell he enjoyed talking about other fighters.

The absolute worst commentary I've ever heard was Jake La Motta during the Luis Resto vs Billy Collins Jr fight. Actually made me realise how true to life Raging Bull was. What an ego.

True, Lennox knows boxing, just not on the fly.

Manny was good, Lampley had his moments, Roy was solid also.
          Those were my fav.

            Great fighter, terrible announcer.
I gave Lennox a B. He'll come up with some good insights.

Great on boxing tactics, and analyzing what a fighter is doing that hurts or helps. Not the most talkavtive voice but the boxing should lead the action more than the commentators mouths anyway. He doesn't try to "paint" a fighter as winning or losing with the bias that most commentators show for their networks favorite or pick. He gives credit where it is due, from either fighter.

Most of his haters just hate he works for PBC fights. Lennox is excellent.

                Grade B.

                Lennox Lewis was alright.

I always feel like some commentators try to hard, and are not really saying anything deep.

Timothy Bradley has irritated me at times 'The same with Shawn Portor'.

Nevertheless all the best to them.

One of the worst, same level as Ray Leonard (Sorry Ray!!! My love for him still clouds my judgement)...

Why RJJ doesn’t do this anymore is beyond me. Him and Paulie are the best at it for me.

I mute all commentators for all fights. I strongly recommend this as it helps you focus on the action and ignore their inevitable biases and ego projections.

I like Lennox as a person and as a fighter but he's a terrible commentator. One of the worst I've ever heard, in fact.

Guys like Roy Jones Jnr are great commentators. I'm always amazed at how bad Lennox is though. I gave him a C- but I probably should have gave him an E.
