Comments Thread For: Warren: I Think Daniel Dubois Gets Back in The Mix Rather Quickly

It's back to work for Daniel Dubois. The 23-year old contender is preparing for a return to past glory on the heels of the lone loss of his career. Dubois suffered a double eye fracture in a 10th round knockout defeat to countryman Joe Joyce (12-0, 11KOs) in their battle of unbeaten British heavyweights last November at Church House in Westminster, England.

Johnathon Rice, Lago Kiladze or Gabriel Enguema would be my choices for his first fight back. All durable journeymen who should give him decent rounds & a little push back. Then after that Molina, Price, Rudenko, Hammer or Duhaupas. Get him a few fights with a couple of them to close out year. He needs some rounds to develop more & he needs to get a couple decent wins under his belt. No sense rushing him.

Back in the mix? I dig DDD, but he wasn't really in the "the mix" yet. And neither was Joe til he beat DDD. The fight DDD lost was the fight to get him among the real guys at HW & outta the minor leagues of the division. He'll still need a W over a high level prospect or fringe contender or better to get in the mix at HW.

          D. will be fine .It's most often the case with big punchers to neglect other skills until it hurts but D. has proved he takes a shot and is NO quitter. He lives to fight and earn another day. He's only young and will bounce back and learn lots from this loss.

Yea sure....if you mean the "European" mix. Listen....I like Dubois but he's just not a world class heavyweight and he never was.

He "proved" he's no quitter??? Lmao what in the world are you referring to?...because you couldn't be talking about the Joyce fight where Dubois clearly quit.

Big joe tore his heart out and handed it to him, made him quit.
He’s still got a lot to learn to go up a level.

I'm sure they'll feed him some untested African bums with shiny records to try to build the hype train back up

Take a ticket and stand in line, at the END of the queue.

He was gifted cans to crush and secured a number 2 ranking only to be exposed in his first real test.
