  • Film study, Benevidez why all the hype?Zurdo,is he still wack hypejob

I see countless ppl think very highly of David Benevidez (I think hes a skillful fighter like his brother was before the drive by took part the use of his leg & Crawford took the other part) but I don't understand the level of hype he receives based on koing Dirrell. (Hes a semi 1 dimensional power puncher who is vulnerable to the body imho) i just don't get the hype of several fighters who are still very green like Benevidez & Plant. (Billy tîts Saunders is no prized pig either)

(yes SMW is kinda weak but partly because Canelo looks so damn dominant mainly,as mw can be said to have fighters on same challenge level like Charlo/Ggg/Andrade/Murata. Only ggg truly has demonstrated hes potentially capable of beating Canelo but hes aged himself intentionally for yrs now by avoiding elites & fighting no hopers along with inactivity.

At lhw I definitely think Zurdo would be the next hypejob to be slayed if he wins a belt.(& Because he's mexican it would make a great selling ppv vs Canelo.)

Maybe someone can chime in & tell me what I'm missing about Benevidez.

Here Benevidez is against Porky but he looks far from impressive (it wasn't that long ago)

Part of why I also say hes a hypejob is because he has buckets of talent but has wasted it so far by coke & hamburgers. (At least Ruiz only had hamburgers not coke)

Ps the only ppl I ever put on ignore are those who have nothing to contribute to conversation or debate(go ahead & call me every name imaginable, just explain at least. (I don't hold grudges unless someone is just an outright cvnt like kafkod or whatever the fck that *****s name is who posts rarely & always favors brits to extreme level but calls ME racist)

Heres some more footage of Gavril getting clobbered but not stopped by Benevidez.

Why is Benevidez said to be "the only 1 who beats Canelo" I just don't get it. Please explain

Heres some footage of Zurdo vs a complete no hoper in his supposed new improved version at lhw. He looks like the hypejob ive always said he is. What is going on with Mex fighters, whys there so few truly elite mexicans unlike yesteryear? (Mostly hypejobs besides Canelo,Ortiz)

I don't get why ppl say Zurdo can beat ginger who he used to spar with as paid employee? (Can someone explain why Zurdo is thought of as a Canelo slayer like David?)

Mall and Saunders are the most proven. Def not hypejobs. Zurdo is a complete hypejob having faced 40 bums in his career, but he doesn’t get the hype some is the others do. I’d say it’s between Benavidez and Andrade. 2 bum killers but they get insane amounts of hype.

I don’t rate Benavidez. A good mover will make him look silly. 168 is pretty shallow though, he’s definitely a top guy at that weight class tbf.

Andrade beat Vanes 8 years ago. Embarrassingly that’s still his best win. I do think the guy has talent though, while overrated by some I wouldn’t call him a hype job.

Rating them in terms of talent combined with resume I’d go:

                1. Charlo
                2. Saunders
                3. Andrade
                4. Plant
                5. Benavidez

                3-5 are interchangeable though tbf.

Plant is the biggest hype job and it’s not even close. Just wait till he faces a legit threat

Imo Benavidez gets hyped because he has an aggressive, fan friendly style. Casuals always get a bit carried away with aggressive guys and power punchers. Race, nationality and demographics always plays a role too.

One thing I will say for David Benavidez is he has looked good for his age. I don't think he has necessarily looked better than everyone else at 168 over the past few years but he is younger than the other names at the weight so understandably people think he might have the potential to be the best.
