Saul Canelo' Alvarez is prepared to take the lead for his celebrated return to Las Vegas. The pound-for-pound king and reigning unified super middleweight titlist was granted a promotional license for his Canelo Promotions company to conduct business in the state of Nevada. His application was unanimously approved by the five-member panel of the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) during its monthly agenda hearing which was held Tuesday morning remotely via conference call.

Not much of a surprise, he already had enough pull to do whatever he wanted

At least he can fight a fighter under a different promotion. No more sides of the street for him.

Strange to me how he generated that much against Floyd and GGG but against Jacob's and Kovalev a small portion in comparison. I wouldve figured Jacob's and the Krusher wouldve pulled more weight than that against the Ginger.

            That's how you do it!

This are the types of moves that will force boxing to evolve.
We don't want to end up like the UFC, promoter and sanctionning body (belts) all in one?! Boxers are already getting screwed, we don't need to end up like Ben Arsken and company begging boxers for a decent payday. Masvidal was begging for Canelo after that bad mofo belt thing..

I respect all fighters and have no issues with guys crossing over, but boxing isn't wellfare program for the UFC. We have boxers that need our support.

Boss move for Canelo and team
Canelo. His opponents from this point on will determine what kind of fighter canelo is. He is a free agent with his own promotional company. When it’s all said and done we can the. Compare his career to other greats that did the same like mayweather and de la Hoya

Well done Canelo. No championship calibre fighter should be letting a promoter live off his blood. Every big time fighter should be his own promoter

Please Canelo Promotion lets this have a good undercard. The first was real bad and this one coming up only good match is Martinez vs Arroyo and that is not the main event.

Great! Now he can officially self promote and not have to worry about using other promoters
