It should be a requirement that if you're gifted a belt, you need to make a mandatory defense of it of a top 3 opponent within X amount of months or get stripped.

Lopez is the WBC and lightweight Champion. Garcia and Haney are not Champion's, let me repeat, Garcia and Haney are not Champion's.They are contenders, just because the WBC gives you a fake title doesn't make you the champion. I will say Garcia is ahead because he has a good win vs Campbell, Haney and Tank for that matter do not have a signature win at lightweight, not saying that Garcia would beat them, just saying Garcia has taken a risky fight and won, while others need to take that risk before they get the shots they want. Tank will get a pass because he has a following, while Haney is kinda of stuck, needs solid wins to get the big names.

Lopez isn't the WBC champion. He never fought for the title so how can he hold it? Haney fought for the interim title. He was elevated when Loma vacated for refusing to fight Devin who was his mandatory. Teo is more of an email champ than Haney.

All this young teens in the Boxing game and especially in the Lightweight division and especially Haney need to earn the respect to be a called CHAMPION!!! You need to man up and face Fortuna! You and your father thought that you got a hell of deal from the WBC when the WBC give you a gift! Now everything coming your way is nothing but tough tough fights at a very young age!!! Such an uneducated response. How can he fight a "champion" if they won't get in the ring with him? Loma ducked him, Teo is ducking him. He already offered to fight Fortuna when Linares pulled out and Fortuna said no. Ryan has said no SEVERAL times.
