As BoxingScene.com previously reported, the World Boxing Association has ordered WBA 'regular' super middleweight champion David Morrell to make a mandatory defense against tough British boxer John Ryder. Ryder was one of the names kicked around to face Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez back in December.

Morrell looks very good, very skillful, although I don't think he'd have a chance against Canelo at any time.

The other prospect Berlanga is quite the sensation. His level of opposition hasn't been high, and we don't know what happens when he gets taken deep into a fight, but he's exciting.

so you think a 23 years old kid, facing this kind of opposition wouldn't learn? In about two years he will be ready for ginger or anyone in this division. If he keep on winning. Not even ginger was fighting the opponents this kid is fighting with only 4 fights under his belt.
