  • Comments Thread For: Jessica McCaskill: I Exposed A lot of Katie Taylor's Downfalls as a Boxer

Undisputed welterweight champion Jessica McCaskill believes she was able to expose the flaws in the style of Katie Taylor, who is the undisputed champion at lightweight. McCaskill lost a ten round decision to Taylor in December of 2017. There is now some talk that a Taylor vs. McCaskill rematch is a possibility in 2021.

McCaskill was too green in this fight. If they fought again she'd totally wash Taylor.

Feel like I'm listening to CNN. Really? Seasoned veteran? If McCaskill had only 6 fights what made Katie Taylor a seasoned vetetan with 8? Oh yea wasn't it a shutout? I don't remember the scoring only McCaskill was looking frustrated and out of her league in that fight. Any exposer in that fight was a climbing recognition for female boxing. It was a main event on a staked card! I wish both success as with womens boxing. What a pleasure it is to see Katie Taylor fight. I hope she keeps busy. McCaskill too. Stay busy is good for her especially when it appears she is improving in many areas everytime she fights.

McCaskill only had 18 amateur fights. Katie Taylor had an Olympic gold medal and five straight golds at the world championships. When they fought McCaskill was an unknown who had never gone past 6 rounds while Taylor was coming off a world title win over Anahi Sanchez, a seasoned multi division champion. After the close loss in the Taylor fight, McCaskill went on to beat Sanchez herself and future Hall of Famers Erica Farias (twice) and Cecilia Braekhus.

McCaskill has improved leaps and bounds in every fight while Taylor has looked vulnerable against Persoon and Linardatou.

Not sure how you are coming to this conclusion if you watched the first fight. McCaskill hasn't gotten any better since her first fight plus she is two steps too slow compared to Taylor.

Did you see her last fight against Cecilia Braekhus? She punches with her head down and she is extremely wide and wild with her punches. Speed kills, same result: Katie Taylor by UD.

I see the fight ending the same way. Taylor will win almost every round.

there’s only one carriage moving forward the other carriages are left way down the track
