Idk that it helps him all that much at this stage, he's almost out of the sport, but yea I agree with the overall point that there are levels to this game even in trainers.
Its cool boxing is a sport you can basically excel at with a minimal to no experience trainer who learns on the job, but its naive many seem to think cuz you can win amateur titles & some pro fights that at the tip top level of the game a high level trainer doesn't add a few percentage points on your ability to win fights at a bare minimum. And at the tip top of the game those few percentage points might make the difference in you hitting your ceiling at a title holder instead of a contender or a guy talked about as a great instead of a title holder.
You don’t really need an elite level trainer more then you need to know how to follow instructions and not you running the training program which Wilder has done his entire career . Very few trainers who have been successful would put up with him ,it’s not just hiring someone. Take a Teddy Atlas for example,he wouldn’t last long at all with a character like Wilder .
