From a purely fighting/training perspective, Reynoso is absolutely correct to not like the Pacquaio fight. At this stage of his career, it is more sensible to keep the focus on his division and advance the best he can there. Fighting two weights above against a vastly experienced elite fighter when Garcia is still inexperienced is a plain bad idea.

From a business/reputation perspective, the Pacquaio fight offers Garcia the chance to potentially steal some of those Pac fans.

Not only is it a risk that's probably not worth taking, but it also sounds like the fight may not even be there anyway.

I agree with you about it ending in KO. Idk about whoever lands first deciding that doe. I feel like Ryan has one punch KO loss at some point written on him. Idk if I see the same in Tank. Tank looks more solid & Tank shows much more defense & ability to roll with punches. That said that doesn't mean Ryan couldn't put a beating on him & stop him at some point.

Tank vs Ryan was a great fight. I believe Oscar killed it to prevent the risk of losing to the Mayweather charge. But Ryan also had good chance of winning. Cowardly business by team Delahoya. Now boxing has one less super fight.

Losing to a bigger, much more experienced guy has a built in excuse. Not to mention you get paid much more handsomely for it.

It’ll obviously look bad if he gets stopped, but he can rebuild and chase fighters his size.

Pacquiao could literally end this kid's boxing career before it begins.

              What then?
Omg, this isn't the sport for milquetoast hand wringers. Real fighters dare to be great. Besides, I think Garcia Duno's him. Pac is a very old man.

I don't think so. That extra five pounds would be pure lean muscle. He's at the peak of his physical prime right now, so gaining lean muscle weight is no problem. With regard to time, he has no more if he wants this Pacquiao fight. Pac is about to retire, so anyone who lets that opportunity go is miles beyond ******ed.

He need to stay in his weight class.

Dare to be great by fighting the best in your own weight class.

I'ma lose it if I see another Kell Brook situation

He'll fight all those guys, whether its at 135, 140 or 147. I'm starting to think all of the Pac-Ryan Garcia detractors on this board are really just worried about Pac. It is absolute inanity to pass on this fight if you are Ryan Garcia.

Worried about Pac? Ironic cuz most guys on here think I'ma Pacquiao hater. Anywho.

I just said why, we saw Brook, Khan, and Garcia do it and look what happened.

And yes those fights can still happen, but Garcia might not ever be the same.

I don't wanna see a 70% version of Garcia fighting these guys so we can talk about how good the fight "would have been" if he didn't jump weight classes and fight Manny.
