It's simple. When ppl want to pay PPV money to watch women headline fight cards then that's exactly what they should do. If the demand isn't there then it wouldn't make sense.
Miss Shields trying to pressure promoters and networks but to give her what she wants would be a false economy. Her fights wouldnt belong at top billing and she would get more money than the fight was worth.
If she wants to fight for women's Boxing rights she needs to start with making sure there is an interest. Forcing it down our throats as it is now is not the solution.
The biggest problem is as a Boxing fan I can fully appreciate how good Shields is and I can see how good Women's Boxing is getting. But true Boxing fans add up a small portion of overall revenue on a fight night. The vast majority are just ppl who wana see a good scrap but have no interest in the sport at any depth and can't appreciate the qualities somebody like Shields brings.
