  • Comments Thread For: Prograis: Broner Don't Want To Fight Me Now Because It's Too Much Risk For Him

Regis Prograis doesn't have to like the politics of the sport to know how to work around them. There always seemed little chance of the former 140-pound champion making his way to the front of the line as the opponent of choice for Adrien Broner's first fight back in more than two years. It didn't stop the two from enjoying back and forth trash talk through social media, although in the end it meant just another targeted fight to fall by the wayside for the 32-year old southpaw.

Regis Prograis just isn't that good.....his mouth is better than his boxing skills quite honestly.....don't understand why he was praised so much....his resume is garbage actually.

He's right in that Broner doesn't want to take that kind of risk right now. He wants that soft touch his first fight back

Prograis seems incapable of BS, he's blunt and simply tells it like it is. His no BS demeanor carries into the ring and that makes him a very, very scary individual. Nobody wants to fight him at 140 because even if they win Prograis is going to do damage and everyone knows it.

I hope Regis isn't forced to 147 and end up handy capped fighting naturally bigger guys.

Prograis exacts damage, win or lose nobody seems to be the same after fighting Regis.

His resume is dotted with a long line of opponents that seemed to leave their punch resistance in the ring.

How did Crawford manage to avoid fighting Prograis?

Somehow fights Indongo but not Prograis.

All AB would do is go into survival mode again and b content to go the distance and collect his check.

This is who Devin Haney should jump up to 140 to fight. The divas at 135 wont fight each other so if Devin is for real he should get a jump on 140 and start running it before they get there
