His dad can only take him this far, hopefully he can get together with an experienced trainer to take him to the next level and help him become more of a complete fighter. The earlier he did that, the better for him. Hopefully they didn't have a falling out which lead to that or vice versa and that they keep on having a good relationship.
Good, I generally dislike dad coaches. Just load of middle aged trying to live vicariously through their far more talented sons. There are a few exceptions, but generally they are all high ego dudes that want the shine their son’s have. Angel Garcia, Ruben Guerrero, Ken Porter, John Fury etc etc
