Can’t do that when your own promoter, trainer and mentor won’t want to let you at them!

        Ooooooooooohhhhhh kkaaaayyyyyyyyy.
Luke Cambell floored him sooooooooo.....if that were either manny or Davis he would have been carried out.
A single says flooring says he can be put away with one.
Imagine what a power combo would do.

            Facts! January 30, 2021:

Manny Pacquiao-Ryan Garcia fight not happening, Golden Boy Promotions exec says

Ryan Garcia's dream of stepping into the ring to take on Manny Pacquiao will have to remain just that for now, according to his promoter.

Golden Boy Promotions, which promotes the 22-year-old Garcia (21-0, 18 KOs), told ESPN Knockout that a fight between the two isn't in the cards.

"There's nothing to talk about there," Golden Boy executive Eric Gomez told ESPN. "They contacted us, but it turns out there's nothing to talk about. That fight isn't going to happen."

However, Guadalupe Valencia, who represents Garcia told The Athletic that the door is still open for the fight to take place.

"We're discussing terms," Valencia said. "Manny and Ryan want it and instructed their teams to make it happen. That's what we're trying to accomplish..."

Valencia told ESPN on Friday that there is high interest in a non-exhibition bout between the boxers and mentioned the last week of April or first week of May as a possible date. Valencia said Pacquiao's representatives reached out first to gauge interest.

However, Gomez said Pacquiao's group was new to boxing, so there wasn't anything to build on or discuss. He added that after he and Golden Boy CEO Oscar De La Hoya met with Top Rank's Bob Arum, he considers lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez to be Garcia's next potential opponent.

"Teofimo is more feasible," Gomez said. "It's one of the fights that's obviously of interest to Ryan Garcia. It could be a great fight."

Golden Boy Promotions says a talked-about fight between Manny Pacquiao and Ryan Garcia "isn't going to happen," but Garcia's rep says the two sides are still discussing terms.

This is not looking good! Oscar has a problem child on his hands!

Ryan is going to 'Duno' him. Pac is 72 yrs old.

None of that makes any sense. The promoter works for the fighter. They cannot get in the way of him making the most important, most profitable fight of his career. Ryan would certainly sue GBP if they acted against his interests.

Davis KOs featherweights and Manny doesn't KO anyone anymore.

They would say that they're trying to get Garcia in a much more profitable fight, i.e. Teofimo Lopez, who has 4 titles at 135! If I'm KingRy, i'm not upset IF THEY GET ME THE LOPEZ FIGHT! If I were to wind up with Jorge Linares, or Devin Haney, then we would have serious problems!

That would be the dream scenario for Ryan and GB. That would catapult him to the face of boxing overnight.

I still believe the outcome would be the exact opposite and Ryan will be the one that gets sparked. Maybe if they get Pacquaio to agree to 140lbs he'd have a better chance.
