Comments Thread For: Ryan Garcia: Beating Pacquiao and Gervonta in Same Year - My Perfect 2021

Undefeated lightweight star Ryan Garcia (21-0, 18 KOs) began 2021 with a **** - when he knocked out 2012 Olympic gold medal winner Luke Campbell in the seventh round. The victory gave Garcia the WBC interim-lightweight title.

Few weeks ago he was acting like the clown he is in front of Tyson, calling Gervonta telling him he's gonna knock him out in the second round and now all of a sudden a sparring session/exhibition match against an 42 year old Pacquiao is more important? Like it fkn matters if he had the 42 year old version or the 43 year old version of pacquiao. No one should take this coward serious, a real champion would fight the guy who's his biggest threat first then worry about some rubbish exhibition match.

Look at him acting up, what happened? Reality kicked in huh?! Thouse around him including Canelo told him to avoid Gervona at all cost.

I agree with Ryan, beating PAC and Davis in the same year will be insane. he will become the face of boxing in an instant.

Garcia is one of these highly overrated sunnyboys. I am quite sure very soon he gets beaten. Campbell had the chance but had no finisher qualities. But there are other guys coming for sure...

People are underestimating what the current era of social media means and how powerful it is.
No one is underestimating the power of social media. If you get KTFO by Pacquiao you know what will happen. You will become a meme overnight. Going up two weight classes, that is the likely outcome.

Golden Boy will have to build you up again. They've done it once, I'm sure they can do it again.

He could beat Davis, but not PAC

2021 is starting off great! Avoiding the hype from getting derailed by Luke Campbell is already a big win. I'm thinking Ryan will be beating the ten-count a few more times before the year is done, with a little luck he avoids getting brutally knocked-out and earns his first and likely last PPV.

So you can actually say win or lose, Ryan is coming out on top.
