You obviously took this very personal... It was only meant as joke, no need to get so insecure man.

Why duck the question too? Do you really think what you wrote was newsworthy?
Yes I think it’s newsworthy. As mentioned, it’s part of an ongoing series. It wouldn’t be newsworthy if someone placed a $285 bet. These massive amounts suggest something else, far beyond simply betting on a fight. That’s the part I’m working on.

Suggesting what exactly? Money laundering? Something along those lines?

To me it’s just a rich man trying to essentially buy himself a bit of extra cash and in turn it’s some free promotion and advertisement for the sports book. I wouldn’t think there’s some bigger picture tbh.

As for the story - I've been tracking absurdly large bets placed on statistical mismatches since the pandemic
. There has been enough of a demand on the subject to cover it. Not sure how it qualifies as a puff piece - I'm not glorifying the win (in the ring or at the sportsbook), I'm drawing attention to these bets being placed to begin with.

Again, if the subject doesn't interest people, there are literally thousands of other threads and topics on here to click and debate. To take the time to read, log on to the board and comment (good, bad or otherwise) invalidates any claim that someone else has too much time on their hands, wouldn't you say?

And no, none of these stories are ever filed in my year-end contest submissions. Just stuff for this cesspool of a message board's viewing pleasure.
Mmmm. Yeah I noticed a number of these threads crop up last year but I didn't think to check who'd written 'em. Did strike me a little odd back then too, but you reckon there's something going on more than just your bored rich dude adding a coupla % overnight Jake?

You posters know nothing. This is a smart investment! If it loses no big deal. You just have to win roughly 50 bets in a row just like it to cover the loss. Easy money.

Don't believe me? If you buy a key of coke for 28k and make 570 bucks, you've made a profit. Risk it all to win small.
