Ugas is a welterweight champion now. Good. He might be the best one.

He won 8 or 9 rounds against Shawn Porter and got screwed.

He beat Porter way more impressively than Spence did.

Ugas might be the guy at 147 and deserves to be a part of the final unification process.

I feel Ugas suits Spence, Errol would out box him too technical and Ugas is even more rigid than Errol is.

Why pretend Ugas is anything but an average fighter who has been beaten by other average fighters and his performance against Porter was likely a case of styles making fights and Porter looking completely past him when they fought.

Crawford would KO him within 8 Rounds, Spence would decision him 8-4 or stop him late, and up and coming Ortiz would KO him late in the fight as well.

Ugas is a damn fine boxer, but since when did beating Shawn Porter make you top in the division?

He’s a good fighter but he isn’t on the level of Crawford or Spence IMO.

Yea. Ugas gets inactive at times and thats one thing Spence never does

And to the thread starter I thought porter beat ugas but it was a close fight.. spence def beat porter and hurt him bad. If ugas has lulls like he did against porter Spence will easily bank rounds

From what I've read, all three of his SD losses were razor thin and could have went either way. I've only seen the Porter fight between the three (they missed his KD of Porter) and I thought he won that one. It's weird that he lost to Imam because Imam sucks.
