Maybe, but remember, Crawford has been rocked by Gamboa and Kavaliauskas, jabbed to hell by Brook and Khan. Means he's hittable.
Ugas is precise. Doesn't have significant power, but he's precise, and he fights tall with a rangy jab. Plus he digs to the body very well when he plants.
His ONLY weakness - and why I say he gets caught late?
Against Porter: Shawn lost the first half, clearly, caught up.
Against Ramos: Ramos lost the first half, clearly, caught up.
Ugas seems to start making silly mistakes around round 6. Every fight I've seen of his, it's the same thing.
I can't tell if he gasses or what's going on, but like with Ramos...Ramos was punishing Ugas in the championship rounds and Ugas wasn't even able to block effectively. He can't be like that against Crawford who's a late starter, and if he fights Spence who's way more precise and way better with timing, Spence will dissect him inside of 9 rounds, Algieri style.
Aint no long jab here.Comment

This... The only downside was the WBA letting GrandPac get loose... He might fight a Pool or Chess player soon...Comment

Haney was actually supposed to fight Campbell for that title ahead of Lomachenko.
Bob paid the wbc to let Loma skip over Haney and fight Campbell instead of Haney.
Then after Loma beat Campbell Haney was his mandatory but Loma begged the WBC to give him franchise status.
How is did Haney get the belt out of nowhere?
If Haney got it out of nowhere, then Ugas got it out of nowhere.Last edited by Doubledagger; 01-30-2021, 06:33 AM.Comment

ROFL... That's what GrandPac gets for having intentions of fighting a 0-1 non-ranked boxer...
Just sad that WBA is giving GrandPac an escape route to duck Spence and Crawford... Of course Spence, Crawford and Ugas won't be interested now to fight a beltless old man...
Anyway, for those who compare the great TBE (not The Best Ever) to GrandPac, that's the difference, boxing orgs will never dare to strip Mayweather but they do Pacquiao...Comment

Are we just gonna pretend that Covid don't exists? Pacquiao didn't kidnap that belt. He can't fight like many fighters because of covid. Simple as that.
Sure, we had successful fights last year but we also had cancelled fights because of the fighters getting covid. The fact that America has the highest cases of Covid in the entire world, i'm pretty sure, Pacquiao camp is aware of this and they don't want to risk it. My guess, after he is vaccinated, he will start negotiating for fights.
As for the WBA title. It was a disappointing decision but understandable since Pacquiao had no fight for almost two years.Last edited by gamesworn; 01-30-2021, 08:38 AM.Comment
