There was no mention of any actual or serious negotiations since garcia win over cambell... as much as tank and garcia wanted it, i felt Floyd didnt want that fight just yet. Garcia v Pacman isnt a mismatch. Pac wont have boxed for 2 years by the time this fight happens, and when your 42... inactivity plays a massive factor. Esp when pac isnt really known to be training when he hasnt got a fight lined up. Its a interesting one while it lasts. More then likely pacman will stop him if hes even 60% of his old self

if this dude ends up fighting pacquiao in an exhibition he will lose whatever respect I had for him after the cambpell KO.
same thing with pac. he doesn't get to fight garcia and keep his title at the same time just because 'he's old and has earned the right to do it'. no he hasn't. nobody has, I don't care if you're SRR, Pacquiao or Jake fcking paul. you're not bigger than the sport just because you are a star.
two active champions fighting in an exhibition would be the biggest fvvckery I've witnessed since I started following the sport.
i really hope it's all just talk.Comment

This kids got alot of ambition, but they are trying to push him too fast. In his last fight he got knocked down hard, if that were Davis or Pacquiao hitting him like that, he wouldn't have gotten up! So he needs to work on a few things and take things a bit slower. The Davis fight will always be there, I dont see him going anywhere, Pacquiao who knows, might still be around in a year but he is nearing retirement now.Comment

Floyd's last fight on his pro record was against Conor MacGregor who had no previous boxing matches and therefore was NOT a 'legitimate challenge' .....as you rightly call it....Comment

This Ryan/Manny possible fight highlights everything that is wrong with the mindset of posters who are fans of very popular fighters.
The guys that are ok with this fight have spent the better part of a decade complaining about ducking, mismatches, meaningless fights, guys not taking tough fights, and a whole host of other things that in their opinions hurt the sport. Yet once again when popular guys do these things, the same guys will find a way to be ok with it.
If the ryan/manny fight happens-Manny will be ducking Spence and Crawford, Ryan will be avoiding Haney and Tank, and we will have a meaningless fight that stalls 2 of the most prestigious divisions from moving forward.
Come on guys, if you have real issues with things you need to have the same issue when a guy you like does it. If not, just admit that every pro is out here trying to make as much as possible and fights for money over legacy.
Stop trying to make a couple of boxers virtuous and the rest bad. The guys you love are just as greedy and self centered as the guys yu hate.Comment

This is my problem. How does a man get Pacquiao who has accomplished absolutely nothing in comparison to others that should be well in front of the line? Like, you're literally telling me, a dude who has 6-7 IG followers earns the rights to a massive paycheck against a legend? Perhaps a bunch of you will say YES, he does, he also brings the $$$ because of that.
If so, then that is what has become wrong with boxing. No more working your way up like a blue collar worker and earning your shot. Now, it's like white collars facing off against each other as long as the money is right.
Like literally, those Logal Paul dude/fights are just white collars facing each other. They didn't earn the paychecks at all like a normal boxer coming up would. They went from zero to millions just because of their background. It's crazy. Boxing has turned into a circus. I blame the majority of that on Fraud for turning this generation into fragile fairies. Scared to take a loss and do whatever it takes to maximize $$$ with the least amount of risk.Comment
