  • Canelo fighting from 154-175 destroys “rehydration clause” advantage theory

It’s actually funny how many fans/posters don’t understand that when they say “he put on a rehydration clause” it means Canelo has to do it too. If Canelo had only been fighting at 154 his whole career then would could argue...

But it simply means Canelo had to do morning weigh ins (rehydration clause) just like his opponents. If there’s a disadvantage from the fighter then it means he should be fighting at a higher close and not sign the dotted line! Lol

Again, both fighters must do morning limits, and Canelo has had opponents dodge the morning weigh in and pay the fine

You really don't think things through do you?

Its called an advantage because he can make the limit easily and his opponents struggle to make it. I.e. see jacobs, Kovalev, and Smith.

If there was no advantage to gain WHY even have such a clause?

They must not teach you much in jungle school do they?

Smith? Smith had a rehydration clause?

Just so you understand that a weight class is universal for all fighters. The burden is on the fighter.

Here’s to help you understand. Fans claim Bivol can easily make 168. So if Canelo put on a rehydration clause on Bivol at 175, what’s the advantage if Canelo has to do the same?

Or better, where’s the standard for Kovalev and Bivol fighting at 175 if one is heavier than the other on fight night?

Do you guys understand why some orgs apply the rehydration clause during the morning? Why do you think they do that? The orgs have different classes

                  Read the bold.

Being able to make weight and being slapped with a morning rehydration clause to gain an advantage are two different things.

Imagine if "154-155 Canelo" got slapped with 10lb next morning rehydration clauses. Boy would have lost every single fight on the scales the next morning because he was coming in 172+lbs fight night.

If you think Canelo is so good and weight clauses give no advantage consider this.

Since GGG is near 40 and you guys all want an easy win why not have the fight at 160lbs?

It's only 8 lbs and Canelo is a small middleweight right? Shouldn't be a problem for him because there's no advantage right?

Since he's so small he should be able to make a 10lb rehydration limit right?

170lbs? The next morning? Should be easy for Canelo right?

You still don’t get it. You don’t understand the paradox of advantage vs disadvantage. If Bivol says he can make 168 for Canelo but they fight at 175 with a rehydration clause in the morning means Canelo’s team is ******** to see if they draining the situation. If they can make 168 the there’s no worry from anybody including the fans about a LHW 175 morning (clause) limit. As you can see, I’m stating rhetorical questions to kick your thinking, not that I don’t know... lol

And me asking you if Smith had a rehydration clause was also rhetorical.. lol

I say these things to bother Canelo haters.
