Personally I do not have a problem with there being more than one belt organization. I have a problem with the multiple belts in a division or the politics behind one champ from one org not fight a champ from another org. These organization should hold tournaments every 4 years or so and pit their champ against the other champs so we have a truly unified champ in each division. Boxing is different than MMA in that there is no one major company that holds the majority of popularity (like the UFC) and we can actually have 1 champ face another champ without them having to leave one company to do so (like you have in MMA).

Why? What makes it worth more? It is 3rd in line as far as rankings in its own organization. It may as well be just a participation trophy since he fought for a vacant title. Is that what you want to promote. Participations trophies for everyone?

How can you have more than one "champion"? A champion by definition is the BEST. How can like 6 or 7 people be the BEST?!? They can't.

Belts are money grabs by the issuing organizations. Its all about money. These belt orgs collect a small percent, usually 1-3% as a fee to be recognized and labelled champ. Thats why you have REGULAR champs and INTERIM champs and now FRANCHISE champs...more fees to collect for WBA/WBC/IBF/WBO and I'm sure PBC will make their own belt in the future.

Its all about money. Period.

But he went a 2 week promotional tour hyping up the fight acting corny literally everywhere saying the "moneys there" and then backs out of the fight.
