Joshua is more wary of getting hit since the first Andy Ruiz fight. No doubt about it.

AJ is wiser, learnt from the Ruiz defeat.
The Jaggernaut is tough but constant blow to the head may cause him long term injuries, he should be more focused on taking less damage so he doesn’t end up as a vegetable.

Good analysis from Joyce however I think some people are reading way too much into Joshua being "timid" when taking shots. Obviously in his first fights since being stopped there's going to be a little bit of that but for the most part I think Joshua is just trying to fight smart, be patient and stick to a pre-fight game plan. I think he can still fight aggressively if he wants and needs to. Against his recent opponents it has been unnecessary, he has been in complete control so has just taking his time and working on things.

There will be a lot of guys on here the day after this fight, backtracking from their predictions. Fury will have more excuses than Wilder

Percentage split wont be the issue.

Eddie will put all sorts of caveats in the contract in AJ's favor... e.g. 1 way rematch clauses, lock him into long term multi-year contract, force him to ditch his current promotional team, force him to give full control to Eddie Hearn etc...

Correct. But I do want the fight to happen.

I just don't trust Eddie to get it done. Eddie has a horrible track record, of making obvious fights not happen. And he's in the Abnormal position of not being the A side and having all the bargaining power over opponent.

Load of nonsense that. Eddie never had a problem making AJ Vs wlad or Parker or povetkin...
It was only Shirley twinkle and Al haymon who were difficult, yet look at Wilders track record.
I followed the whole drama at the time, it was obv Shirley, wilder and the pbc were clowning for clout.

Eddie deals with mtk global and Bob arum. He isn't trying to steal Tyson fury. He's said a few times that it's better tyosn has other promoters because one network (sky) aren't big enough for 2 superstars. It's better they have a network to themselves.

I think if the fight doesnt happen it will be fury playing games because unlike AJ, fury is temperamental and can't even honour contracts. He found a way out of the wlad and wilder 3 fights.
We know Bob arum and Frank warren can't be trusted.
In fact the real dealing is between 528 management and mtk global. It's why AJ was in Marbella with fury.
If they are on the same page it happens.

Wilder is the only fighter he hasn’t managed to get over the line with AJ. Fury isn’t yet confirmed but looks likely and Ortiz turned down the offer because he felt wilder would be a better chance to win.

Otherwise ... Eddie managed to make deals with:

                      Klitschko
                      Parker
                      Povetkin
                      Pulev
                      Martin
                      Takam
                      Ruiz
                      Ruiz (again)
                      Etc

But yes - it’s all Eddie and nothing to do with wilder for that fight not happening if you like !
