Comments Thread For: Haney: Ryan Garcia Wants Tank Because He Thinks It's Easier Than Fighting Me

Devin Haney wants nothing more than to fight Ryan Garcia next, yet he understands why the feeling isn't mutual. Garcia has told anyone who will listen since he knocked out Luke Campbell that he wants to fight Gervonta Davis next, not Haney. The 22-year-old Garcia won the WBC interim 135-pound championship and earned a shot at Haney's WBC world lightweight title by beating Campbell.

Lol!! Obviously Garcia would prefer Tank bc u have no fanbase, create no buzz, and have a Rigo-esque sleep-inducing style.

They had 5 tough amateur fights against each other with head gear. Garcia does not want that smoke.

I don't care about email. Stop crying & go fight Linares already.

I just want to ask is there any truth in Pac vs chin high Garcia at 147? Especially now Mctapouts out of the way.

Devin Haney would be finessin on Ryan Garcia with his icy-footwork, all night. Ryan will need to be the aggressor, cut the ring off, dodge traps, and output a high volume of punches for 12 rounds. Ryan does not have the style or a high Ring-IQ do all that ; Garcia is too stiff, Haney is a natural.

Ryan's only chance is timing a concussive punch, he was lucky against the English-Bum, Luke Campbell -- who was clearly beating him up.

120-108, in that streetfighter soundbite 'PERFECT', Devin the 'Dream' Haney, and still!

Haney should build his own legacy.

              He should fight Rance Barthemy.

It's because the money is going to be to good, That's why. Haney has proven nothing, and needs to go fight Fortuna and prove he deserves a shot.

Haney is being mismanaged. Instead of fighting Gamboa he should've fought Fortuna back in October/November. Then he should've gotten back in the ring quick say February and he should be fighting a Gary Russell Jr as a name or Jorge Linares. Instead he's waiting until April/May...for what

Didnt Garcia vs Rodriguez end in a knockout? Probably a bad example of someone dodging a combo just to be knocked out later in the fight.
